Test Pit Campaigns

Community Excavations

Educational Engagement

Are you interested in the history of the place you live? Test-pits are neat, micro-excavations dug in any garden, school grounds or playing fields. An ideal weekend activity, all ground is replaced once complete. We can organise and run a test pit project for your community to help you uncover how your town or village developed and who lived, worked and played where you are living now.

Activities are carefully designed to ensure active engagement regardless of ability. These can be linked to existing school projects. We have provided autism-friendly groups

We work with schools, youth groups, alternative provision, home school and SEN groups to provide history and heritage-based activities for children and young people. Activities are carefully designed to ensure active engagement regardless of ability. These can be linked to existing school projects. We have provided autism-friendly groups and small groupwork for excluded young people. We welcome and work closely with carers and key-workers to ensure all needs are met.

Geophysical & Landscape Survey

Geophysical & Landscape Survey

Are you curious about the lumps and bumps or archaeological potential of your village, school grounds or farmland? We can arrange a geophysical survey to help determine what lies beneath the soil and provide hands-on experience for your group.

Talks & Presentations
